Obstacles Africa

Obstacles Africa

weltkarte.jpg

Potential:
Africa has 30% of the world's natural resources and some of the best climate, rainfall and soil conditions in the world.
However,
35% of Africa's population is chronically undernourished and the entire African continent contributes only 1.3% to world production.
Over the past 50 years, Africa has received more than 2 trillion US dollars in aid, but the number of people living in poverty has increased.
While global grain production is increasing, production in Africa is stagnant.

Ghana has millions of acres of unused land and large amounts of water resources in their lakes, rivers and underground. There is huge labor potential as well as resources of gold, diamonds, oil, and gas.

Despite this, fuel prices have tripled in the last year.
The population cooks with wood, which leads to deforestation.
On average, Ghana’s fields yield 10% of Germany’s fields.

Why is Africa plagued by poverty and hunger?
Why is the situation worsening despite aid?
